About the event
…Que nos foram dades a plantar. As the seasons change, we see different plants blooming together with new seedlings emerging. Capoeira Girassol, with the blessings of our elders, continues to grow and bloom under new leadership. We are grateful to all the teachers and leaders who have supported our school throughout the years and many seasons. We invite you, our extended capoeira family, to our Encontro to mark Capoeira Girassol’s next chapter.
Our event is focused on supporting and growing our Albuquerque community. We will feature a small number of guest teachers (so we can dive deep with them), lots of time to be in community (so we can deepen our bonds with each other), and some public excursions in the greater Albuquerque community (so we can share Capoeira with our home city). Come, connect with us, and help us water the new seeds of Girassol!
