About the event
In this series participants will learn the basic movements of capoeira, the kicks, the dodges and some “soft acrobatics”. Students will also learn some of the history of capoeira and the music, the instruments and the call and response songs.
The Capoeira Beginner Series will be taught by Professor Ariranha, (aka Otter Vernon), who has been practicing capoeira since 1999, and is a student of Mestre Acordeon of the United Capoeira Association. Ariranha is a fun and engaging teacher who loves sharing this magical art.
